HORPSCOPES FOR MAY by CHISTOPHER MIDOSE
Aries – The Ram (March 21st – April 20th)
With the transiting Sun making a second house aspect to your natal Sun for much of the month, your focus will be on financial growth and prosperity. This is a good time to focus on eliminating or at least making a dent in existing debt and taking steps to ensure future financial stability. An exciting professional and or romantic opportunity may present itself when the Moon is in Leo from May 10th through the 12th. The 22nd may end up being a difficult day filled with frustrating limitations; do your best to stay calm and focused as there could be a silver lining in this dark cloud.
Taurus – The Bull (April 21st – May 20th)
The transiting Sun in your first house for most of the month will make you unusually sensitive to the needs and feelings of others; use this energy to develop a deeper connection with those around you but be careful about getting too involved in their emotional worlds. The 4th is an excellent day to put a plan into motion. Trust in any idea that “pops” into your head on the 8th. Romantic energies heat up in an exciting way on the 15th. The 18th could be your lucky day but you’re going to need to get off the couch to make it happen. Avoid all the drama on the 23rd.
Gemini – The Twins (May 21st – June 20th)
With the Sun making a twelfth house aspect to your natal Sun sign most of the month it will be easy for you to read intentions and meaning into events without evidence but what else is new right? Trust in your creative energies this month and only take actions when all the facts are present. Romantic energies could intensify when the Moon transits your fifth house the 14th through the 16th but things will really get interesting with the Full Moon on the 18th; in short, you may get exactly what you’ve been asking for. Watch your back in the workplace on the 27th.
Cancer – The Crab (June 21st – July 22nd)
This is a great time of year to get out and have more contact with the outside world; despite your best efforts, your wishes will not come true by spending all your time on the couch eating comfort food. The solar presence in your natural eleventh house brings luck and happiness through social contact. Take a class, join a group, spend time with people of like mind…you’ll be happy that you did. Romantic energies heat up from the 16th through the 18th; you could be quite lucky these days as well. Find a way to work with those who would oppose you on the 22nd.
Leo – The Lion (July 23rd – August 22nd)
The Sun transiting your natural tenth house this month will likely cause a difficult situation in your professional world that you must navigate carefully; there are times that even your overwhelming charm can’t save you so you’re going to have to figure out something else. My advice? Try being less dramatic in your approach and reactions. An opportunity shows up from a faraway place on the 1st. The Full Moon on the 18th could bring some exciting, positive developments in your romantic and or professional worlds. Don’t listen or react to gossip on the 23rd and 24th.
Virgo – The Virgin (August 23rd – September 22nd)
Trust in any opportunity that shows up this month; with the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus in your ninth house and Saturn and Pluto in your fifth, there will be positive, lasting developments in both your romantic and professional worlds. Your job is to be more trusting of the process; life is not out to get you despite evidence to the contrary. You may want to be careful about not going too far when the Moon pairs up with Jupiter in Sagittarius on the 20th. When the Sun conjoins with Mercury in Gemini on the 21st do your best to focus on the trees rather than the forest.
Libra – The Scales (September 23rd – October 22nd)
May is a great time to get rid of all the unwanted clutter in your life…this can even mean annoying or toxic people. If some things just can’t be removed use your gifts of subtly and nuance to send them off to a place where they will bother you less. The Moon, Saturn and Pluto create a tense energy on the 9th so do yourself a favor and stay out of all the drama that springs up around you; it’s not your job to fix everyone. The movement of the Sun into Gemini on the 21st will bring a new sense of optimism and focus. Look for a deeper truth on the 22nd; take nothing at face value.
Scorpio – The Scorpion (October 23rd – November 21st)
It will seem, for much of this month, that everyone is going out of their way to get under your skin. Closer to the truth is that your skin is somewhat thinner now so maybe you’re being just a little too sensitive. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to try and work with people in an open, honest way instead of your usual mistrusting and paranoid approach. Step outside your comfort zone, don’t imagine that everyone is out to get you for a change, and you’ll be fine. Your efforts are rewarded on the 22nd. Romantic energies intensify from the 26th through the 28th.
Sagittarius – The Archer (November 22nd – December 21st)
There will be a great deal of activity in the work place for much of this month that will require even more hard work and focus than usual. It is likely that you will feel little forward movement for all your efforts until around the Full Moon in Scorpio on the 18th when you will see a big, positive shift. Even greater rewards are in store when the Moon joins up with Jupiter, your chart ruler on the 20th; this is a great time for set a new goal to lay down plans for future ambitions. The Moon in your fifth house at the end of the month will bring a romantic surprise.
Capricorn – The Goat (December 22nd – January 19th)
The Sun will transit your natural fifth house much of this month bringing opportunities for positive change into your professional as well as romantic worlds. There are opportunities that you can trust; the trick of course is looking past your naturally conservative and cynical nature in order to recognize what is bring presented. The New Moon on the 4th is a great day to put a new plan into action. Trust any creative “urge” that comes up with the Full Moon on the 18th. Don’t be afraid to set some limits on the 22nd. Financial situations should start to improve on the 23rd.
Aquarius – The Water bearer (January 20th – February 18th)
There could be a lot of drama in store for much of this month; to be more specific, there will be a lot of drama going on around you that you will feel like you have no choice but be sucked into. Find a happy midpoint for yourself; be of service but don’t get overwhelmed and you will be fine. The New Moon on the 4th is a great time to rid yourself of the things that get in your way the most. The Full Moon on the 18th could bring professional success despite tension in the workplace. Romantic energies in your life start to heat up when the Sun enters your fifth house on the 21st.
Pisces – The Fish (February 19th – March 20th)
The presence of the transiting Sun through your natural third house this month should enable you to get your point across in an unusually clear and concise way; this is a good time to ask for the things that you need the most. Mars enters your fifth house on the 15th making you a little more daring and likely to do something a little risky; luck is definitely on your side, but you want to be careful about being too reckless. A romantic opportunity will present itself now, but you will be the one to make the first move. Keep you focus despite the distractions on the 21st.
